Try some surf lessons, visit the farmer's market, and pop to the cafe next door for delicious acai bowls and sandwiches. 

Ocean Escape

Located just north of San Diego and within sight of the Pacific Ocean, this charming suburban home in La Jolla is ideally laid out for an extended family get-together. While the interior may lack some wow factor, its rooftop terrace perfectly complements the area's gorgeous warm weather. The proximity to the beach is a real bonus here too - the nearest is a five-minute walk, while further along you'll find many more. And if you are travelling with family, the San Diego Zoo and Legoland are just a short drive away.

Rockin' in the Roundabout

Positioned in La Jolla Shores, just a six-minute stroll from the beach, with its soft white sands and gentle waves, this home provides the perfect escape. Stroll the palm-lined streets, taking in the coastal air, and discover plenty of shops, seafood eateries, beachfront parks, an aquarium and a tennis court at your doorstep. From here, you're also within easy reach of downtown San Diego, just a fifteen-minute drive away.

And, for those that prefer to stay on dry land, Belmont Park is just a fifteen-minute walk away, while the historic Gaslamp Quarter is a fifteen-minute car ride.

You’re reminded of the Cali waves in just about every room, waking up to tropical palms at your feet, soaking in the sleek bathtub as you look out to lush greens, or relaxing on the upstairs terrace with your morning coffee. With everything pointing you towards the sea, you’ll feel beckoned to the beautiful Avenida de la playa, just a short 10-minute walk away. Retreat to your incredible, natural home, break open a bottle of something bubbly on the patio, and bask in the golden hue of the Cali sunset. 

Retract and Recline

Known for its pristine beaches and optimal climate, San Diego is already a gem on the west coast of America. The fact that this beach cottage can also be found in the Mission Bay area makes the trip out to San Diego even more of a must. Ideal for a family stay or reunion of friends, think of this home as a portal to all things spectacular. The beach, for one, is a quick walk away, and so are a number of great restaurants and markets. Belmont Park is ready to keep you company for hours, but we especially recommend seeing it at night when all the lights make it feel extra magical. 

Spending time at home will likely result in burgers grilling on the barbecue outside – stay out there for long after, even as the sun begins to dip, to bask in the holiday feeling. The fireplace is great for colder nights where you can enjoy takeout around the fire before playing a round of Monopoly. Hit the boardwalk on balmier evenings and if you happen to end up with a taco in one hand and a frozen margarita in the other, well, we call that a good night.


Little Blue in San Diego

This coastal home puts you in the perfect spot for enjoying endless hours at the beach, positioned close by to the Californian coastline of emerald waves. A short walk from the home takes you to the ocean – you also get a fantastic view of it from your patio and throughout the home. You'll spot the blue hues of the sea from your bed as you wake up ready for another day. Enjoy a light breakfast with a cup of coffee out on the patio, accompanied by the sound of the waves in the distance.

It'll be hard to resist not heading out straight away to dip your toes in the sand, but rest assured this home is a great resting point before, and after, a day full of fun at the beach. You'll also be a twenty–minute drive away from the hustle and bustle of central San Diego, offering you an abundance of shops to browse, eateries to indulge yourself in and even more waterside activities.

Round off the day back at home by pouring yourself a lush glass of red and head out onto the patio to watch the sunset from the comfort of your own home. As the night draws in, sit down on the sofa in the living room, put your feet up, and watch a movie with your loved ones.

Apricot Coastline

Picture-perfect from start to finish, this beach cottage is just a few steps away from the sandy shore of La Jolla Cove. The living room is decorated with wicker furniture and nautical touches, with four skylights making it a perfect spot to relax in a sunbeam and watch the sea swell from your window. The bedroom is equally relaxing, with a comfortable bed and a flat screen TV for lazy evenings; your only trouble will be deciding which beach to visit and which La Jolla Village restaurant to try next. This home is best suited for two people, but if you wanted to bring some friends or children, the sofa bed in the living area offers two additional sleep options.

Cabin Fever

This exquisite home has to be seen to be believed. It’s a beachfront home with everything you could wish for right at your fingertips, and some luxuries you may not have even imagined. The home can be found in La Jolla, directly across from Windansea Beach, and looking out over surfers’ favourite Big Rock. The views are incredible from almost every angle of the home, whether you’re in the lounge that’s been designed to offer a 180-degree vista of the ocean and the shoreline, or you’re cooking in the outdoor kitchen on the roof deck – from that elevation you can look forward to a 360-degree panorama. 

You can stroll out of your door and straight onto the beach, and return to rinse off in the outdoor shower before plunging into the pool. The heated pool and spa sit at the front of the home so boast ocean views. Sip Champagne in the spa while breathing in the sea air and hearing the waves crash ashore – absolute bliss. 

In the evenings, move up to the roof deck. Cook up a feast in the outdoor kitchen – or book a private chef to do the hard work while you doze on one of the loungers – then dine under the stars. Later on, you might curl up by one of the fire features, perhaps using the telescope for a spot of stargazing. 

If you’re anything like us, you’ll find it hard to leave this superb home. If you do fancy exploring afield, it takes just twelve minutes to drive into La Jolla Village, where you’ll find world-class restaurants and some top-notch boutiques.

You'll be a short distance from Belmont Park - San Diego's historic amusement park - for some quintessential Californian culture, but we won't blame you if you just want to surf and sunbathe all day and night on your trip in the sun.

Waking up to ocean vistas is a scene you'll never tire of at this immaculate beachfront home, placed just steps from the golden shores of La Jolla - San Diego's most desirable seafront neighbourhood. The large windows invite you to gaze out over the green parklands and the sea beyond, and if you're lucky, you might just catch a glimpse of dolphins splashing around in the open ocean. A home begging for a large group of friends or family to come together, there's heaps of space to spill out here including two detached king-sized bedrooms for that added bit of privacy. Pad out into the backyard for a relaxing soak in the spa after days at the beach, while little ones can let off some steam playing in the fenced grass yard, or with a game of table tennis. Or head to the bustling local restaurants for an evening meal – we hear the local pizzeria and ice cream parlour (both seven minutes on foot) are unmissable. Just be sure to make it back to watch the sunset over the horizon – there's a front-row seat waiting at home.
