Click to book Atlas Sands now: from £97 per night Style meets comfort in this wonderfully located apartment in Margate. Designed in a chic, boutique-style manner, the whole space feels brilliantly modern while retaining a sense of vintage charm that so aptly reflects Margate’s seaside fame. We love the bright living room with its large windows that provide the most spectacular sunset views across the Winter Gardens and out towards the sea, best enjoyed on the sofa with a glass of wine or through the handy telescope provided. Full of fun decorative details that subtly nod to the coast, this space is made for relaxation and easy-going socialising. Our other favourite spot for sea-sighting is in the beautiful master bedroom where an armchair invites you to curl up on it with a good book and enjoy the rolling of the waves from yet another angle. Factor in the sunny kitchen and the sparkling blue and white bathroom and you’ve got everything you need for a blissful coastal break. Outside of your home, you’re just a six-minute walk from the Turner Contemporary art gallery, an eight-minute stroll from the Main Sands beach, while the Dreamland Margate amusement park is fifteen minutes on foot from your door. Click to book Edge of Glory now: from £300 per night Rustic and shabby chic on the outside, yet retro and quirky on the inside – this countryside escape in Eastbridge, Suffolk offers a stylish retreat with beautiful views across the surrounding fields and countryside. Its unusual layout presents an upside-down style house with the bedrooms, bath and shower room, a utility room downstairs, and the living quarters in an elevated position upstairs. Situated 20 metres from the water’s edge, this cosy two-bedroom cottage boasts stunning vistas of the lake – you're even provided with a telescope to get a better view of the wildlife (and maybe another famous inhabitant). You'll feel right at home as soon as you arrive – the cosy interiors have been designed by Scottish furnishings maker ANTA, and classic tartan prints adorn the homeware and bedding. Spend your mornings in the garden listening to the birdsong before heading out to explore your surroundings. There are plenty of Highland hikes in the area, and if you're wanting to get a closer look at the loch, try a cruise – there's a jetty just 50 metres from your door. On colder days, curl up on the leather sofa in the living room in front of the fire, or settle back in an armchair with a book. When you start to feel peckish, you'll find everything you need in the kitchen to cook a warming meal. And as night falls, the place becomes an excellent dark sky location for stargazers. Don't be fooled by its unassuming aluminum exterior. Inside, the cabin is surprisingly spacious and lovingly converted by your hosts to provide all the creature comforts. Expect spotless interiors with a well-equipped traditional kitchen complete with a Belfast sink, a neat en-suite shower, and luxurious Egyptian linens on the king-sized bed and bunk beds for the kids. A welcome hamper brimming with local goodies, including milk, eggs, freshly baked bread, and marshmallows for those obligatory s'mores, will help to settle you in. And you'll bank a blissful night's sleep here – your only neighbours are the occasional peacock or deer strutting by. While away your days watching nature unfold outside on the terraces - the private elevated balcony looking out into surrounding woodland (a great spot for den building) is a beautiful place for a cuppa. Or don your hiking boots for a country walk – perhaps with a pit stop at the welcoming local pub (within walking distance) for a swift pint. Just be sure to make it home for dusk as the sun sets over the surrounding countryside. Placed in one of the UK's largest 'dark-sky' areas, there's much stargazing to be done while getting toasty beside the firepit. Sleeps up to 4 | 1 Bedroom | 1 Bathroom
